Elders Allen and Harris.
Happy, I mean proud parents on Temple day.

New Address!

A funny thing happened on the way to the MTC......Carter had my debt card in his wallet, so we called and he was able to send it and a small note:

Uh....sorry I had your card. I'll send it in the mail first thing tomorrow, if I can find it. The first day was pretty hard but I'm doing okay. I saw Jacob and Austin today for about two seconds, but it's okay, I'll see them again.I can email on Mondays.
Just to make sure you have it right:

Elder Carter Byron Allen

My estimated departure date for Texas is December 8th.

Into the MTC

It was an incredible sight to see all the missionaries waiting to help the new Elders inter the MTC. I bet it was close to 300 of them standing on the side walk that wrapped around the building. They all looked pretty happy to be there.
Most of the pictures I took didn't turn out, due to my nervousness and the angle of the son. Needless to say, we were all a little rattled. We haven't heard from him yet but we hope he has found his cousin Jacob and best friend Austin. Strengh in numbers and all that.

His mission President would like all of the Christmas packages to be sent to:
Elder Carter Allen
Texas San Antonio Mission
404 E. Ramsey Rd. Ste 105
San Antonio, TX 78216-4665
He said it would be great to have all packages by the 6th of December and to write a "C" the right hand corner so they know it's for Christmas.

Welcome to Elder Allen's Blog!

We have just returned from the Stake Center with our new Elder.
It was a great setting apart and a wonderful blessing. Carter is a little nervous, but that's normal.
He reports to the MTC in Provo at 12:15 tomorrow!
Thanks to everyone who has helped Carter grow into the Elder he is today.
